Scope of “Intra-company Transferee”

“Intra-company Transferee” is a status of residence for those who are transferred from an overseas company to an affiliated company in Japan.
Affiliated companies here include not only transfers between parent companies and subsidiaries, but also subsidiaries and sub-subsidiaries of the same parent company.
“Intra-company Transferee” also apply to transfers to affiliated companies.
However, transfers from one affiliated company to another affiliated company are not subject to “Intra-company Transferee”.
