I think that some foreigners who work as chefs with a “Skilled Labor” status of residence want to open their own restaurant independently.
Unfortunately, a person with a “Skilled Labor” visa cannot become a so-called owner chef.
With the status of residence of "Skilled Labor", it is not possible to run a restaurant.
The status of residence for managing a restaurant is “Business Manager”.
However, a person with a status of residence of “Business Manager” cannot work as a cook.
Therefore, a foreigner who works as a chef with a “Skilled Labor” status of residence must hire a new chef if they want to open their own restaurant.
