The validity period of the Certificate of Eligibility has been extended.

The Immigration Services Agency of Japan has taken measures to extend the validity period of the "Certificate of Eligibility" for those who cannot enter Japan due to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus infection. This time, we have decided to take further extension measures.

■Handling so far
　・Certificate of Eligibility created from January 1, 2020 to January 31, 2022
　　→　 Valid until July 31, 2022
　・Certificate of Eligibility created from February 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022
　　→　 Valid for "6 months" from the date of creation

■Future handling
　・Certificate of Eligibility created from January 1, 2020 to April 30, 2022
　　→　Valid until October 31, 2022
　・Certificate of Eligibility created from May 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022
　　→　Valid for "6 months" from the date of creation
　・Certificate of Eligibility created on or after August 1, 2022
　　→　Valid for "3 months" from the date of creation
